There is something refreshing about the Monday after a summer weekend.
The bicycles are back in the garage. The market bags have been unpacked. Coffee is poured a little earlier, lunches are packed, and neighbourhood streets begin to stir as another week gets underway.
Nothing particularly remarkable has to happen.
And perhaps that's exactly the point.
When we think about loving where we live, we often picture the highlights—the celebrations, the beautiful summer weekends, the gatherings with friends.
But a good life is built just as much around the ordinary Mondays in between.

By Monday morning, Fredericton has returned to its familiar rhythm.Cyclists make their way along the trails. Parents head out with children bound for summer camps and activities. Dogs insist that morning walks happen regardless of anyone's schedule.
Coffee shops welcome familiar faces, neighbourhood streets come alive, and downtown begins another week.
These aren't the moments that usually make the photo album.
